Sandy Mason

Senior Fellow

Sandy has worked in the land use planning and conservation field for over 25 years. He was involved in the formation of Valley Advocates for Responsible Development (VARD), a nonprofit local land use advocacy group in Teton Valley, Idaho. He was program director and executive director of the organization for ten years and now sits on its Board of Directors.

Before moving west, Sandy served as an elected planning board member in western Massachusetts where he was awarded a certificate of appreciation from the Governor for his work in preserving a critical 1000 acres in the state.
