Shea is working as LegacyWorks’ Summer Associate in the Tetons region. She is a Master’s of Environmental Management candidate at Yale’s School of Forestry and Environmental Studies, specializing in Systems Leadership in Conservation and Business & the Environment. She aims to apply her studies to employing effective methods in scaling up conservation progress. Shea volunteers as a Nonprofit Board Fellow for The Nature Conservancy in Connecticut, and previously worked for The Nature Conservancy in the New Hampshire and Adirondack chapters on their conservation and stewardship teams.
She earned her undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College with a double major with honors in Ecology and Environmental Studies. There, she wrote a senior thesis focused on giraffe movement patterns and implications for conservation management that was published in the African Journal of Ecology. In her free time, Shea enjoys rock climbing, hiking, yoga, and exploring new places.
