Alex Norton

Project Director and Planner

Alex is a strategic thinker with a 15-year track record of helping communities, organizations, and landowners identify issues, find solutions, and measure success. He is an award-winning comprehensive planner and public engagement specialist who takes pride in ensuring conversations about complex systems are both accurate and accessible. The combination of his data analysis, GIS, modeling, facilitation, and public process skills illuminates each project’s full scope. He has facilitated plans and written code with focuses such as form-based infill, workforce housing, pedestrian mobility, and conservation, all in the context of mountain west communities. He has also worked with for-profit and non-profit organizations to identify their goals and how to achieve them. He specializes in plans that are understandable, actionable, and accountable with clear metrics for success.

Alex earned a BS in Urban and Regional Studies from Cornell University. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) with facilitation certifications from Interaction Associates and IAPP. He lives with his wife, daughter, son, dog, cat, and chickens in Jackson, WY where they enjoy skiing, hiking, rafting, hunting, lake skating, hockey, and soccer. Alex is also a volunteer member of Teton County Search and Rescue.
