Liz King

Project Manager

Liz has joined LegacyWorks to focus on community initiatives related to water and wildlife in the Greater Yellowstone region. She lives in Victor, ID with her husband, shaggy dogs, and horses. Originally from Houston, TX Liz has lived in the Rocky Mountains since attending the University of Montana where she studied history. After graduating Liz began working for NOLS as a horsepacker in the Absarokas and Winds, a field instructor, and a program supervisor. After over a decade, and well over 1,000 nights of camping, Liz moved from NOLS to the Teton County Search & Rescue Foundation to focus on community outreach initiatives that addressed backcountry fatalities. Liz has worked as an avalanche educator and ski guide with some time spent forecasting for the public. She brings experience with community outreach and relationship building to LegacyWorks as well as facilitation skills. Liz is eager to explore conservation initiatives that prioritize working landscapes. In her free time Liz can be found training horses, mountain biking, or on skis depending on the season.
