Pablo Noé Castro Moreno

Technical & Natural Resources Director

Pablo is a Marine Biologist with a Master's Degree in Marine and Coastal Sciences with orientation in marine resource management from the Autonomous University of Baja California Sur (UABCS). He has more than 20 years of experience in issues related to the management and administration of fisheries and natural resources in the Mexican Pacific region, the west coast of Baja California Sur (BCS) and the Gulf of California. For the past 15 years, he has worked for research centers, civil society organizations and federal government agencies, supporting technical and management processes with rural communities, academia, local, state and federal authorities to promote conservation, recovery and management of the main fishing resources of the region.

Past positions include collaborating with Pronatura Noroeste for more than eight years as project coordinator and office manager in the city of La Paz, BCS. Subsequently he collaborated with the Mexican National Fisheries Institute (INAPESCA) in different processes that have served as a basis for public policy instruments for the management of fisheries in northwestern Mexico. During the last three years Pablo has consulted extensively in projects for the public and private sector in BCS on issues related to training, restoration and management of natural resources. His hobbies are scuba diving, camping and passing time with his family.
