CEC Resilience Roundtables

Together with the Community Environmental Council (CEC) and a robust steering committee, LegacyWorks co-designed and facilitated a series of multi-stakeholder Resilience Roundtables. Each roundtable was an interactive forum to bring key community leaders together around the most important impacts of climate change to elevate the high priority needs and opportunities.

This first roundtable was held in November 2019 on the topic of wildfire and smoke; the second was in March 2020 on sea level rise with both being in person. There were four more roundtables implemented in partnership with the Central Coast Climate Justice Network and local nonprofits working with frontline communities that were held virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Those roundtables focused on the identified threats of heavy precipitation events, heat and drought, and decreased water supplies.
