Teton Community Wellbeing Dashboard

Teton County, WY

The Teton Community Wellbeing Dashboard (TCWD) is a community-led initiative launched and facilitated by LegacyWorks Group in partnership with over 70 local organizations. Designed to help the community see itself more clearly and act more effectively, the Dashboard provides a shared platform for tracking and improving wellbeing across eight interconnected focus areas: Housing, Food Security, Economic Security, Education, Sustainable Ecosystems, Peace and Justice, Community Connectedness, and Health.

TCWD serves as both a tool and a process—one that brings together residents, service providers, local government, and funders to align around shared goals and measure progress. The Dashboard pairs accessible data with community context, storytelling, and Spanish translation to ensure broad participation and relevance. It connects users directly to local programs and services through interactive resource pages, reducing duplication, supporting coordinated care, and fostering a shared understanding of what drives wellbeing in the region.

Since its launch, the Dashboard has seen over 4,000 site visits, with increasing adoption by local decision-makers and nonprofit leaders. It has been used to guide climate planning, shape behavioral health and housing interventions, and inform emergency response efforts—including during the 2024 Teton Pass landslide, when real-time commuter data helped support public safety planning.

LegacyWorks Group has supported the collaborative design of the Dashboard’s wellbeing framework, facilitated focus area development, and linked data from related efforts such as the Indicator Report, the 2022 Equity Survey, and the Teton Climate Action Partnership. In 2025, additional focus areas are being expanded with new data, Spanish translation, and interactive resource pages. LegacyWorks continues to support ongoing governance, partner engagement, and content development to keep the Dashboard current and community-driven.

By embedding data in local context and connecting it to real-world supports, the Teton Community Wellbeing Dashboard is helping Teton County build a more resilient, equitable, and responsive future.

In 2023, the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole contracted with our team to build out three focus areas of the Teton Community Wellbeing Dashboard: Housing, Behavioral Health, and Education. The Housing focus area launched in June 2024 (see Press Release here) and Behavioral Health in August 2024. The Education focus area began their initial prototyping phase in summer 2024, with an expected launch in the late fall or early winter. Continued work includes assembling a broader dashboard collective to strategize the build out of the remaining focus areas. Additionally, we are working in collaboration with the Town of Jackson and Teton County to develop further focus areas.
