Jalisco-Costalegre

Conservation and regenerative tourism in action

From mangroves to the mountains.

In Costalegre, we strive to establish public-private, governmental, and community partnerships that foster a regenerative model for the region. Here, the future is built from the marine zone to the mountains, bringing together local knowledge, science, community, and regenerative economics.

Along the coast of Jalisco, we are weaving a network of local, academic, governmental, and private actors committed to a different model of development—one that restores, protects, and thrives with the community.

From the mangroves of Chamela to the wildlife corridors in the mountains, the “Sierra to Sea” approach guides our work. We support the creation of fish refuge zones, the restoration of estuaries and watersheds, and the promotion of productive systems, such as community-run salt flats and deforestation-free ranching.

We work in dialogue with tourism developments, ejidos, cooperatives, and local governments to envision a future where Costalegre’s natural and cultural wealth is preserved through collective action, rather than imposed decisions.
