About the LegacyWorks East Yellowstone Initiative
The East Yellowstone Initiative is a grant-funded program that brings landowners, managers, and partners to the table in support of stewardship of the east flank of the Greater Yellowstone Region. We support the conservation and economic resilience of working lands across the Absaroka Front. We value the essential role these private lands play in sustaining wildlife habitat, connectivity for migratory wildlife, and broader landscape stewardship. We envision a well-stewarded, ecologically intact landscape across Wyoming’s Absaroka Front that supports wildlife populations and ranching operations for future generations. Through the current vehicles of East Yellowstone Collaborative and the Absarokas Working Group, we work across differences towards a common goal.
