Finance Intern

The Finance Intern role is a temporary, part-time position within the Platform Division of LegacyWorks Group. This role is a remote position and will report to the Bookkeeper.

What You’ll Do

This role is designed for a highly organized individual who will support the financial integrity of LWG by specializing in receipt and expense management. This team member will need strong attention to detail, organization skills, and an ability to thrive in a dynamic and evolving work environment. You will help build trust and financial capacity within the organization by ensuring that all financial data and documentation are organized accurately and timely to advance maximum impact.

Your Primary Responsibilities

  • Receipt & Expense Management

    • Review supporting documentation for credit card statements and reimbursement requests and reconciling the two when needed, following up with the team to ensure transparency 

    • Enter and reconcile credit card transactions into the accounting system with accuracy and accountability

    • Maintain highly organized, audit-ready financial documentation with consistent naming conventions for all receipts and look for opportunities to improve systems for clarity, efficiency, and accessibility

  •  Team & Culture Cultivation

    • Practice active listening, follow through on commitments, and contribute to a culture of trust and accountability

    • Share knowledge and ask questions openly, supporting team learning and collective problem-solving

    • Foster belonging, access, and opportunity by treating colleagues with respect and ensuring all voices feel valued when following up on financial inquiries

  • Organizational Collaboration

    • Comply with all LPW’s systems and policies including, but not limited to, time tracking, credit card expense reporting, reimbursement requests, and other organizational requirements

    • Participate actively in team meetings and organizational working groups to foster a cohesive team environment

  • Superior attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure financial accuracy and diligent record-keeping

  • Harness technology creatively, using current and emerging tools to advance projects and organizational goals

  • Navigate basic accounting software (Note: LWG utilizes QuickBooks Enterprise Desktop 2023 daily)

Compensation & Benefits 

The hourly rate for the Finance Intern position is $18.00-22.00 an hour based on relevant qualifications and experience. We offer part-time, temporary employees paid sick time, a cell phone stipend, and a 401(k) retirement plan following an introductory period.
