Sandy Mason

Sandy was a key partner in the formation of LegacyWorks Group and our early work in the Tetons. He was powerful force in land use planning and conservation for over 25 years. He was involved in the formation of Valley Advocates for Responsible Development (VARD), a nonprofit local land use advocacy group in Teton Valley, Idaho. He served as VARD’s program director and executive director for ten years and remained engaged on its Board of Directors.

Before moving west, Sandy served as an elected planning board member in western Massachusetts where he was awarded a certificate of appreciation from the Governor for his work in preserving a critical 1000 acres in the state.
