Teton Community Wellbeing Dashboard

The Teton Community Wellbeing Dashboard, a community-led project initiated in 2023, is a collaborative initiative facilitated and stewarded by LegacyWorks Group in partnership with over 70 organizations in Teton County, WY. The dashboard depends on the contributions of these partners and funders to make this shared community resource possible.

LegacyWorks Group convenes and facilitates public-private partnerships to meet critical community needs. In much of this work, data is playing an increasingly important role - but data can be noisy. We build community-led data dashboards to aggregate and clearly communicate critical data to inform decision-making, track community wellbeing, understand the efficacy of public and private efforts and investments, and instigate high impact partnerships.

A diverse set of interconnected elements are essential for community members to live fulfilling lives. Together, these elements add up to community wellbeing. A community wellbeing framework allows community members to identify and monitor the core elements of wellbeing to inform decision making and track progress over time. Each element encompasses a set of subtopics and metrics that provide windows into a community’s collective wellbeing. Learn more about LegacyWorks’ Dashboard Enterprise here.

The Teton Community Wellbeing Framework includes eight focus areas: Housing, Food Security, Economic Security, Education, Sustainable Ecosystems, Peace and Justice, Community Connectedness, and Health.

Partners Include:

Community Foundation of Jackson Hole

Teton Behavioral Health Alliance

Systems of Education

Housing Collective

In 2023, the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole contracted with our team to build out three focus areas of the Teton Community Wellbeing Dashboard: Housing, Behavioral Health, and Education. The Housing focus area launched in June 2024 (see Press Release here) and Behavioral Health in August 2024. The Education focus area began their initial prototyping phase in summer 2024, with an expected launch in the late fall or early winter. Continued work includes assembling a broader dashboard collective to strategize the build out of the remaining focus areas. Additionally, we are working in collaboration with the Town of Jackson and Teton County to develop further focus areas.
