Santa Barbara Project Updates

We are blown away by the work our LegacyWorks Santa Barbara team has done this year. Together we have played a central role in at least a dozen projects with real impact on the well-being of our communities, ecosystems and working lands. It’s our pleasure to share our Fall Update with you. It gathers stories of many of those projects and begins to paint a picture of the breadth and depth of our work in the region.

As you’ll see, LegacyWorks shows up in service of community well-being and resilience in a diversity of ways and places. What’s consistent throughout is how we do our work. We step into the in-between spaces to bridge between sectors, organizations, and groups. We step into those gaps to facilitate partnerships, manage collaborative projects, develop impact strategies, lead planning initiatives, develop data dashboards and build technical tools. Filling those roles is critical to moving key community initiatives forward, and there often isn’t a trusted partner ready to step in when needed. We built LegacyWorks to do just that.

Playing those roles requires the trust of strong partners in each of our collaboratives, and WE ARE SO GRATEFUL for our relationships with a growing network of remarkable organizations, agencies and donors. This work requires the support of partners and funders who understand our unique approach to unlocking impact and building resilience and who believe we can help them do what often seems impossible.
