Molly Taylor
LegacyWorks is thrilled to welcome Molly Taylor to the Central Coast team as the Working Lands & Conservation Specialist, leading cross-sector initiatives focused on land stewardship, community resilience, and rural economic development.
Molly will apply her deep understanding of working lands by focusing on building capacity among partners, facilitating authentic dialogue around community needs, and catalyzing collective action and investment in regional priorities, with a particular emphasis on wildfire mitigation and climate resilience.
Her past work includes hands-on experience on her family ranch, PT Ranch, as well as roles with the Community Environmental Council, Wolfe’s Neck Center for Agriculture and the Environment, and Resource Conservation Districts, where she supported carbon farm planning and efforts to scale climate-smart agriculture throughout the supply chain.
Molly holds a degree in Urban Studies from New York University, where her academic work deepened her commitment to equitable, place-based solutions grounded in both people and landscape. Deeply committed to the community, she also works with Blue Sky Center, helping advance resource development and organizational sustainability.
Molly lives in Cuyama, where her partner runs a cattle business, finding daily motivation in the rhythms of working lands and the deep connection between healthy ecosystems and thriving communities.
