Project Director and Geographic Information Systems
Court has over 15 years experience working as a professional Geographic Information Systems (GIS) specialist, land manager and research ecologist. As a GIS specialist and scientist, he has a deep appreciation for the role of GIS and other data in helping plan, implement, improve and monitor community impact projects.
For five years Court managed ranch operations for Beartooth Capital, a conservation-oriented equity investment firm. In this role he oversaw agricultural production, land and water management, project permitting and implementation and natural resource restoration and enhancement on ten ranches in Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Colorado and California. He worked closely with local ranchers and with county, state and federal conservation specialists to implement a variety of projects to improve environmental integrity, create local job opportunities and protect key natural areas. With a deep respect and appreciation for everyone’s unique insight into local community issues, the most rewarding part of his professional life has been working with these multiple perspectives to craft workable solutions to complex problems.
Court earned his BS in Elementary Education from Miami University of Ohio and Masters in Conservation Biology and Landscape Ecology from Prescott College.
