Marco Lueras
Eastern New Mexico Sentinel Landscape Coordinator
Marco Antonio Lueras is the Eastern New Mexico Sentinel Landscape Coordinator, where he collaborates with diverse state, federal, and private partners to advance conservation initiatives across the ENMSL Partnership. As a first-generation scholar from rural New Mexico, Marco brings a personal commitment to preserving and protecting the region’s natural landscapes. His conservation work is complemented by a robust background in public service, including his AmeriCorps service, evaluation experience from the New Mexico Legislative Finance Committee, as well as co-founding the New Mexico Conservation Alliance, a 501(c)(3) organization based in Albuquerque that connects youth with environmental opportunities statewide.
Marco holds a B.A. in Criminology from the University of New Mexico and an M.A. in Sociology from the University of Miami. He is a dedicated advocate for community engagement. In his free time, he enjoys photography, staying active, and diving into environmental literature.
