Healthy Communities Coordinator of Resourceful Communities

Salem serves as a Healthy Communities Coordinator for Resourceful Communities at LegacyWorks Group, where she provides technical assistance and capacity-building across North Carolina, with a focus on economic development, local food access, and the environment. She previously served in the same role under The Conservation Fund. She draws on her experience as a Nutrition Educator and Community Health Project Coordinator to help groups develop programs, engage partners, and address the root causes of health disparities in rural communities.

Salem grew up in North Carolina and holds a B.A. in Anthropology from the University of South Carolina, Columbia. When she’s off the clock, you’ll find her immersed in audiobooks, catching the latest movie, or channeling her creativity into hands-on craft projects.
