Sharon brings over 30 years of experience in K–12 education, partnership development, professional learning, and organizational strategy to her role with LegacyWorks Group. Prior to joining the team, she served as Director of Professional Learning at Teton Science Schools, where she led a national network of K–12 schools, cultivated revenue-generating partnerships with schools and districts, and strengthened the program’s business model and operations. Previously, she held district-level leadership roles with the Austin Independent School District, supporting large-scale change initiatives across 130 campuses and building partnerships among schools, community organizations, and public agencies.
Earlier in her career, Sharon taught in rural Costa Rica, where she developed conversational fluency in Spanish, and she is always working on her French. She holds an MEd in Learning Design and Technology from the University of Georgia and a BA in English with a minor in French from Boston College.
After 25 years in Austin, Texas, Sharon is now putting down roots in the small, rural village of Jeffersonville, Vermont. In her free time, you can find her rock climbing, skiing, hiking, and volunteering with local community organizations, including serving on the board of Cambridge 360. She misses good corn tortillas.
