Board Member

I currently live in Boise Idaho with Shawn, my wife. We previously lived in Teton Valley, Idaho for almost 20 years where we raised our two sons Finnegan and Benjamin. Three years ago, I opened my own nonprofit consulting firm, Tim Adams Consulting LLC. I partner with nonprofits to advance strategic planning, board development, and operational success.

I hold a Master’s in Experiential Education from Minnesota State University, Mankato, and a Bachelor’s in Physical Education from Humboldt State University. I have spent the last 30 years in the nonprofit sector where I held every position from volunteer to Executive Director to serving on many boards. Before opening my practice, I was the ED for the Community Foundation of Teton Valley and prior to that the ED for Teton Valley Trails and Pathways.

As well as currently serving on the LegacyWorks Group Board of Directors, I also serve on the Idaho Community Foundation Board.

When I am not working with nonprofits in a variety of capacities you can find me weeding the garden, riding bikes, hiking trails, taking our beautiful dog Maddie on walks with Shawn and enjoying every minute I get to spend with Finnegan and Benjamin when they visit. Shawn and I love to travel. Most recently we decided to put down some roots in one of our favorite countries to visit, Mexico, and purchased a home in San Miguel de Allende.
