Landowner Carbon Farm Plans

IMG_3073

In partnership with the Cachuma Resources Conservation District, LegacyWorks helps owners of working lands to plan and implement regenerative agricultural and grazing management practices to increase the rate at which carbon is captured and reduce the rate at which it is lost or emitted. Carbon Farm Plans evaluate the potential for a specific property to utilize these practices and quantify the potential carbon dioxide equivalent that could be sequestered. Carbon farming practices increase soil water holding capacity, productivity and overall resilience amidst a changing climate. With a carbon farm plan in place, landowners are able to leverage their ability to provide ecosystem services in order to access funding that helps sustain their operations.
