Resilient Santa Barbara County (RSBC), PACEs Connection and Network of Care

Resilient Santa Barbara County (RSBC) is a countywide network dedicated to preventing and reducing the impacts of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) in Santa Barbara County. It is overseen by the ACEs Steering Committee, a group of volunteers who are shaping the vision, purpose, principles and objectives of this emerging network.

Since 2018, LegacyWorks has been facilitating RSBC gatherings and advising and guiding Barbara Finch and Terri Allison, the chairs of the steering committee, as they lead the network. Barb and Terri are weaving a network of community organizations committed to being ACEs-informed, trauma-responsive, and resiliency-focused in their individual and collective efforts to create the resilient and caring community we yearn for and every child and family deserves. This partnership has been productive and synergistic for both entities.

As Resilient SBC has deepened its core mission as a result of LegacyWorks facilitation, so too has LegacyWorks grown in our understanding of the necessity for change in this field and brought this knowledge to bear in other realms of our collaborations.
